A Place for Living

Our care center welcomes residents ages 21 to 104. In fact, we enjoy close support from the Multiple Sclerosis Society, programs staffed by local colleges, and other resources intended to stimulate creativity and personal growth in residents of all ages.

In addition to 24 hour professional nursing staff, we enjoy support from a distinguished physician team that has helped us earn the confidence of those we care for. We become the primary care giver to our residents, which gives immediate family and friends the renewed energy to provide fresh encouragement and support to their loved one. >Read More Below About Our Unique Reputation<

  • The largest young population West of the Rockys of 40 residents aged 30 to 60, primarily with Multiple Sclerosis or related neurological disorders, not traditionally welcomed at other SNFs
  • Motorized wheelchairs are encouraged (where appropriate) to promote independence
  • A Computer Lounge offering five high speed internet connections dedicated to enabling residents to surf the web, write letters, and e-mail to promote healthy connections with family/friends, and generally raising the level of independence among users.
  • Unique activities geared toward our younger MS residents, including MS Aerobics, Cognitive Fitness Training, and Yoga, strongly supported and led by the LA Chapter MS Society. Also weekly outings to Rancho Los Amigos for Specialized MS programs.
  • A quarterly presentation from an MSW with periodic guests including a Neurologist, RD, Pharmacist, or scientific researcher in the field of MS symptom management
  • We strongly encourage on-going staff training and learning by sponsoring CEU credits and training at facility expense. Also, several current RNs have come up from our LVN staff, and CNA to LVN to facilitate a serious career path for nurses.

Brief Stays : Special Times for Healing

Because we recognize that many people in our community are cared for at home by a family member or trusted friend, we offer stays in our facility for as little as five days.

This enables the caregiver at home a needed break to refresh themselves and renew outside friendships and contacts, or even to take a well deserved vacation.

Financial Issues

Our facility rates are competitive and we work with several third party insurers that cover skilled and long term custodial care. Should there be questions regarding state Medicaid or Medicare programs, we'll gladly assist family members in simplifying these complex systems.
