> Mary Ann Holm, Manager of Clinical Services, The National MS Society (S. California Chapter)
"Hillcrest currently serves 40 residents with Multiple Sclerosis. It is such a value to the MS community to have a facility able to meet the needs of individuals generally younger than the average age of residents at skilled nursing facilities. These residents have created a community for themselves where they can engage in conversation and participate in activities more age appropriate and meaningful. Having a high volume of residents with MS at one facility has made it possible for the MS Society to lend our staff time on-site, as well as financial support through grant funding for a variety of programs to further enhance their quality of life in a nursing facility. The administrator and staff at Hillcrest are proactive and dedicated to ensuring a high quality of care for their residents and continue to expand their knowledge and expertise in serving people with MS".
> Wilson Getty, Esq., Attorney at Law, San Diego, California
"We have worked with Brad DeHaan and his team at Hillcrest Care Center and, in our experience, there is not a better skilled nursing facility in the state. Brad and his team are highly involved with their residents, they are responsive to the residents needs and the family’s questions about their loved ones. Brad and his team pride themselves on ensuring that the residents of Hillcrest Care Center know that the staff care for them, respect them and do all in their power to help them have the highest quality of life possible. I would not hesitate to place my family member at Hillcrest Care Center."
> Angelo Pinna, Long Term Resident at our Skilled Nursing Facility
"I have been a resident at Hillcrest since 1981. I am here due to medical complications from MS. I came to the care center during a serious exacerbation, unable to sit up, nor feed myself at that time. The staff were compassionate and understanding of the nuances of MS. By the grace of God, and on-going attentive care and encouragement, I have improved greatly, and have chosen to make Hillcrest my home base as I attended CSULB to obtain a Bachelors and Masters degree in language. For anyone with MS, I strongly urge you to consider Hillcrest as an option to improve your situation."
> Jacky Wu, MD, Physician for Several Nursing Care Residents
"Hillcrest's nurses are available 24 hours per day, knowledgable and attentive to my patient's medical conditions. I feel comfortable having my patients over there."
> Meredith Penner, Vista Del Mar Senior Living
“Within an area surrounded by dozens of skilled nursing facilities, Hillcrest Care Center easily stands out among them. The wonderful staff is always gracious and welcoming to anyone walking through their doors. I am consistently met with the utmost of professionalism regardless of whether I am interacting with the management staff or the care staff. This warm and friendly atmosphere definitely leads to enhancing the quality of life for all of their patients. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to place my loved one at Hillcrest if the need ever arose.”

"I am now in my second year living at Hillcrest, after living in the same Long Beach home for over 60 years. The staff here has been very caring and thoughtful, and my special medical needs have been very well met. For me, Hillcrest has been the next best thing to living on my own."
"My father, age 91, came to Hillcrest over a year ago after extended hospitalization at the Long Beach VA hospital. I worked closely with the management and skilled nursing team at Hillcrest to coordinate Dad's care, and have been very satisfied with their professionalism and responsiveness. The care staff working directly with Dad has been very kind and conscientious, and really stand out for their excellence. Dad and I highly recommend Hillcrest."
